Built around executive concerns

This page narrows the full help centre to the questions most relevant when you’re deciding whether to take a meeting, how your time is used, and how donations are handled.

Platform basics

The core meetmagic model and how value moves between executives, partners, and charities.

Both

What is meetmagic?

meetmagic connects Partners with Executives through paid meetings, where the Partner's payment goes to charity instead of to the Executive. Partners get direct time with people they would struggle to reach otherwise. Executives get useful meetings and generate charitable impact by taking them.

Both

Who's behind meetmagic?

meetmagic was founded by `[TEAM: founder names]` and is based in `[TEAM: location]`. The team combines backgrounds in `[TEAM: 2-3 relevant credentials, e.g. enterprise sales, philanthropy, product]`.

Both

How does meetmagic itself make money?

meetmagic retains a portion of each Partner's payment to cover platform operations. For every dollar a Partner spends, `[TEAM: X]` cents go to the nominated charity and `[TEAM: Y]` cents cover verification, matching, technology, and support. `[CRITICAL — this is the most-scrutinised answer in the whole FAQ. The numbers here must match the "How much reaches the charity?" answer in Donations & impact.]`

Both

Is meetmagic a charity?

No. meetmagic is a for-profit company operating a donation-based introduction model. The charities we donate to are independent organisations. `[VERIFY corporate structure]`

Both

What isn't meetmagic?

We are not a lead generation service, a recruiter, a consulting firm, or a paid speaker platform. Partners don't buy leads. Executives don't get paid.

Both

Where did meetmagic come from?

meetmagic started with a simple observation: senior leaders receive constant pitches they either ignore or take reluctantly, and Partners spend enormous effort trying to reach them. Turning that friction into charitable donations lets both sides get something meaningful from the exchange. `[TEAM: expand with founder-specific origin story]`

Joining as an executive

Eligibility, approval, and what participation looks like for decision makers.

Executives

Is meetmagic free to join?

Yes for Executives. There is no fee to join, and you are never billed for meetings you take. Partners pay to book time with you, and that payment goes to your chosen charity.

Executives

What is the eligibility criteria to join meetmagic?

Executives on meetmagic are typically director-level or above at organisations of `[TEAM: minimum company size, e.g. 500+ employees]`, with decision-making responsibility in their area. We prioritise leaders in `[TEAM: focus industries]` across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, and the US. `[CRITICAL — be specific enough that someone can self-assess without applying.]`

Executives

Can I try meetmagic before committing?

Yes. You can browse Partner requests without accepting any, and you are free to leave at any time.

Meetings

How meetings are matched, scheduled, qualified, and kept relevant.

Executives

What can I expect from the meetings?

A 30-minute conversation with a Partner who has done their research and has a specific reason for wanting to speak with you. Partners are briefed to treat the meeting as a conversation, not a demo, and are rated on how well they respect your time. `[VERIFY duration, and confirm briefing/rating exists]`

Executives

What if the meeting turns out to be a bad fit?

End it politely at any point. Meetings are scheduled for 30 minutes but there is no obligation to use the full time. Ending a meeting early doesn't affect your standing on the platform.

Executives

What if a Partner behaves inappropriately during a meeting?

Report it to support@meetmagic.com and we'll investigate within one business day. Partners who breach conduct standards lose access to the platform. `[VERIFY response time and escalation process]`

Executives

Do I need to prepare anything for the meeting?

No. Partners send a short brief with their request, so you know what the meeting is about before you accept. You can decline any request that doesn't warrant your time.

Donations & impact

How your time turns into donations and how charity outcomes are handled.

Executives

Which charities can I nominate?

Executives choose from a curated list of registered Australian charities across health, education, environmental, and community sectors. `[TEAM: list top 5-10 partner charities here, or link to the full list on-site]`

Executives

Can I see proof that the donation was made?

Yes. After every meeting, you receive a confirmation showing the amount donated and the charity it went to. Your account also shows a running total of donations you have generated. `[VERIFY the running-total feature exists]`

Executives

What if my preferred charity isn't on the list?

You can nominate a charity that isn't currently on our list. We review nominations against our partner criteria and add eligible charities where possible. `[POLICY — is nomination open, or is the list fixed? If fixed, say so.]`

Executives

Are donations attributed to me publicly?

No, unless you opt in. Your donation activity and totals are private to your account. `[VERIFY defaults]`

Executives

Can I get a tax receipt?

Yes, for donations made to charities with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status in Australia. The receipt is issued by the charity directly and appears in your account after the meeting. Some charities on the list do not hold DGR status; their pages are marked accordingly. `[VERIFY tax receipt mechanic and DGR handling]`

Executives

How do I know the donation actually happened?

Donations are transferred to the nominated charity `[TEAM: cadence, e.g. monthly]` and receipts are issued directly by the charity. You can see a record of every donation you have generated in your account. `[VERIFY cadence and receipt flow]`

Trust & legitimacy

Safeguards around privacy, sales pressure, data, and marketplace quality.

Executives

This seems too good to be true. How do I know that this is legitimate?

It's a fair question. meetmagic works because Partners get access to Executives they would otherwise struggle to reach, and Executives get to generate charitable impact from meetings they might have taken anyway. Everyone gets something real. To date, we've raised `[TEAM: total donated]` for `[TEAM: number]` charities on behalf of Executives from companies including `[TEAM: 3-5 named companies, if permission granted]`. `[CRITICAL — the current on-site answer states the mechanism without evidence. Evidence is what makes this land. If you can't cite specific numbers or companies yet, cite whatever proof you have: press coverage, advisor names, charity partnerships.]`

Executives

Are Partners vetted before they can book meetings?

Yes. Every Partner is reviewed before they can send meeting requests. We verify the company exists, that the individuals applying are who they say they are, and that what they sell is legitimate. `[VERIFY — describe the actual vetting steps in enough detail to satisfy skepticism]`

Executives

Can I decline or block specific Partners?

Yes. You can decline any individual request without explanation, and you can block a Partner permanently from your account settings. Blocked Partners cannot see your profile or send you requests. `[VERIFY block feature exists]`

Executives

Will my details be shared with Partners before I accept a meeting?

Partners see your name, title, company, and public profile before they send a request. They do not see your email address, calendar, or contact details until you accept a meeting. `[VERIFY exact fields visible pre-accept, mid-request, and post-accept]`

Executives

How do you verify Partners?

Partners are verified through company registration checks, LinkedIn verification of the applying individual, and a manual review of the business and what they sell. `[VERIFY the actual verification steps]`

Executives

Do Partners see my calendar?

No. Partners only see the times you've offered for a specific meeting. Your full calendar remains private.

Executives

What information does a Partner see about me before I accept?

Your name, title, company, industry, and public profile. Any private details, contact information, calendar availability, or account activity remain private. `[VERIFY exhaustive list — surprises here erode trust badly]`

Executive-specific questions

The detailed executive FAQ set for participation, expectations, and next steps.

Executives

Why would I use meetmagic?

You get to convert time you'd otherwise spend fending off cold outreach into meaningful charitable donations, on terms you control. You choose who you meet, when, and how often.

Executives

I already get pitched constantly. How is this different?

You're paid, in charity dollars, for time you might have given away for free. Every request comes with context up front, so you decide whether it's worth the meeting before you commit. And a bad meeting has real consequences for the Partner, so the incentive is on them to be worth your time.

Executives

I have a full calendar. Why add another commitment?

There is no minimum. Some Executives take one meeting a month, some take one a week. If a request doesn't earn its place in your calendar, you don't accept it.

Executives

Am I obligated to take a certain number of meetings?

No. You accept only the meetings you want to take. There is no minimum.

Executives

Who else is on the platform?

Executives on meetmagic include leaders from `[TEAM: 4-6 recognisable company names, e.g. Atlassian, Canva, NAB, Telstra]` across industries including `[TEAM: dominant industries]`. `[CRITICAL — the single strongest trust signal available to a new Executive. Name specific individuals if any are comfortable being cited. Named companies is a strong fallback.]`

Executives

How do you stop me from getting spammed?

Partners have to spend real money to request a meeting with you, and you decide whether to accept. The cost is the filter. You can also set preferences for which industries and topics you're open to, and block Partners you don't want to hear from. `[VERIFY preference and block features]`

Executives

Can I set rules about who can request meetings with me?

Yes. From your preferences, filter incoming requests by industry, company size, geography, and topic. Requests that don't match your preferences don't reach you. `[VERIFY filter granularity]`

Executives

Can I turn it off if I need a break?

Yes. Set your account to unavailable and no new requests will reach you. Turn it back on whenever you're ready. `[VERIFY pause mechanic]`

Executives

Will my involvement be visible publicly?

Only if you choose. Your profile is visible to verified Partners inside the platform, but your donation activity, meeting history, and participation are private by default. Public attribution requires your explicit permission. `[VERIFY defaults]`

Executives

Can I be quoted or featured in meetmagic's marketing?

Only with your explicit permission for each instance. We won't name you, quote you, or list your logo without asking first. `[VERIFY policy]`

Executives

What if a Partner behaves badly in a meeting?

Rate the meeting honestly and let us know at support@meetmagic.com. We respond within one business day. Partners with a pattern of poor feedback lose access to the platform. `[VERIFY process and response time]`

Executives

What if I want to end a meeting early?

End it. There is no obligation to fill the full time slot, and doing so isn't held against you.

Executives

Can members of my team see what I'm doing on meetmagic?

Not by default. Executive accounts are individual, and no team-visibility features are enabled unless you specifically share access with an assistant or delegate. `[VERIFY approach]`

Executives

Can I invite an Executive I trust to join meetmagic?

Yes. From your account, send an invitation to another Executive. Referred Executives go through the same review process as any other applicant. `[VERIFY referral mechanic]`

Executives

How much time does this actually take?

Reviewing incoming requests takes a few minutes a week. Meetings themselves are 30 minutes, and Partners are briefed to keep them focused. Total time commitment depends entirely on how many meetings you choose to accept.
